Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer for a technology location in San Diego, CA. You will patrol, monitor access, and deliver courteous service to employees and visitors while upholding site procedures and safety standards.

The role requires strong communication and reliability, with duties including incident response, patrols, and reporting. evening/night schedule and location specified.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds preferred.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Must be 18+ (unarmed) or 21+ (armed).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check required by law.
• Criminal histories considered per law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology location by following site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry, documenting activity as required.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly and follow emergency protocols.
• Complete reports and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

• Tue 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Wed 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Thur 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Fri 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sat 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, access concerns, or potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, documenting visitor, contractor, and delivery activity as required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
• Complete accurate reports, maintain activity logs, and promptly communicate observations and incidents to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
