Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Officer for a Full Time Site Security role in West Des Moines, IA. You will provide customer service, monitor and patrol banking areas, and manage access control with a professional, safety-first mindset.

Position Type: Full Time. Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour. Schedule includes multiple weekday and weekend shifts. A guard card is preferred; 2+ years of security experience required; background check and drug screen will be performed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badging is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures for a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established protocols.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrols, incidents, and security-related observations.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
