Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Driver Badge Control in West Des Moines, IA to protect clients at a financial institution, perform routine patrols, monitor access points, and provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license required per policy.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• Guard card/license preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at a financial institution while following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular/unarmed patrols of the banking location (interior, exterior, parking, entrances, perimeter).
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents and patrol activities per site procedures and reporting requirements.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Tue: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Wed: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Thur: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Fri: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the banking location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, unauthorized access attempts, hazardous conditions, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, patrol activities, and observations in accordance with site-specific procedures and Allied Universal reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
