Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer to screen visitors and enforce access-controls at our Kansas City, KS site. You will help create a welcoming, safe environment while applying established security procedures.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and access‑screening policies.
• Screen individuals, packages, and permitted items entering designated areas in accordance with established procedures, escalating prohibited or suspicious items and activities to appropriate personnel.
• Verify identification, visitor authorizations, and access credentials; maintain accurate visitor and screening‑related records as required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, business spaces, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized access.

Pay Rate: $19.17 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM
• Tue 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM
• Fri 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM
• Sat 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM
• Sun 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM

What You’ll Do:
