As a Security Officer Full Time Entry Screening in Kansas City, KS, you will support access screening and visitor processing while maintaining a professional, welcoming presence.

You will observe activity, communicate clearly with employees and guests, and help identify and report security-related concerns.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, deliveries, and personal property in accordance with site policies and access-control requirements.
• Verify identification, credentials, appointments, and authorization prior to permitting entry to restricted areas.
• Monitor screening equipment and report prohibited items, access concerns, incidents, and unusual activity to site leadership in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Maintain accurate screening logs and complete required reports while supporting a professional, orderly entry process at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
