Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications site.
• Screen individuals, packages, and items entering the location per procedures; escalate as needed.
• Verify identification, visitor authorization, and access credentials; maintain logs and documentation.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly; follow emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of screening areas and entry points; report unusual activity.

As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Station in Kansas City, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help maintain a welcoming, professional environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures and access-screening requirements at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Screen individuals, packages, and permitted items entering the location in accordance with established procedures, escalating prohibited or questionable items to appropriate personnel.
• Verify identification, visitor authorization, and access credentials while maintaining accurate entry logs and related documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
