Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted under federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and contractors by following site-specific access-control procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and delivery appointments, and document entry/exit activity.
• Control access to restricted areas and issue visitor badges or temporary credentials.
• Respond to incidents calmly and coordinate with site contacts and emergency responders.
• Conduct regular patrols to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Secure Entry Services in York, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Security Professional at a busy distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and delivery personnel. You will use computer or tablet systems, communicate professionally, and help deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. Pay Rate: $19.61 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and delivery appointments, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry and exit activity.
• Control access to restricted areas, issue and collect visitor badges and/or temporary credentials, and report access irregularities in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, truck yards, loading areas, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
