Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for full-time Screening Verification in Gaithersburg, MD. You will screen people, packages, and vehicles, maintain a visible presence, and provide professional customer service according to site procedures.

Position type is Full Time with pay rate of $18.43 per hour. Shifts are Monday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, offering an opportunity to join a leading security company that values teamwork and integrity.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals, packages, and/or vehicles entering or departing the logistics and distribution location in accordance with established procedures.
• Monitor access points, shipping and receiving areas, and designated restricted areas; verify credentials and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, loading areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Verification in Gaithersburg, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by screening people, packages, and/or materials in accordance with site procedures. You will maintain a visible presence, help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service and clear communication. Job Schedule:

• Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
