Job summary

Allied Universal® in Manassas, VA, is seeking a Security Officer (Screening Support) for a full-time role at a technology-focused site. You will screen visitors, verify credentials, and enforce access-control procedures while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and access-screening requirements.
• Screen personnel, visitors, and deliveries entering the facility following established access-control procedures; verify credentials and direct to check-in points.
• Inspect items as required by site policy and escalate prohibited or suspicious items through reporting channels.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and promptly; notify site contacts and leadership as needed.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and conduct regular patrols of screening areas and perimeters to deter unauthorized access.

Pay Rate: $19.76 / Hour

Job Schedule: Mon 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM; Tue 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM; Fri 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM; Sat 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM; Sun 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-screening requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen personnel, visitors, and deliveries entering the facility in accordance with established access-control procedures; verify credentials, maintain visitor records, and direct individuals to appropriate check-in points.
• Inspect permitted personal items, packages, and materials as required by site policy, escalating prohibited, unauthorized, or suspicious items through established reporting channels.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident documentation, and conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entrances, and nearby perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
