Job summary

Allied Universal, the leading security company in North America, is hiring a Full Time Security Officer in Florida. You will provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location, and enforce access-control procedures.

Responsibilities include screening, operating screening equipment, responding to incidents, and patrolling entry points to deter unauthorized activity. A high school diploma and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 (21+ for armed roles) as required by the position.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check and drug screen are mandatory.
• Licensing may be required by state/local law; valid driver's license for driving roles.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry points, interior areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

• Tue 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Wed 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Thur 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Fri 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
