Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Screening Associate in Hagerstown, MD. You will serve and safeguard clients by screening people, packages, and vehicles, while maintaining a professional presence and following site procedures.

As a Screener, you will monitor entry points, respond to incidents, and provide outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• Guard Card or license preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and team members while carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and/or vehicles according to site procedures.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify authorization, report irregularities to site leadership.

• Conduct regular patrols to deter unauthorized activity.

Security Officer Full Time Screening Associate in Hagerstown, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by screening people, packages, and/or materials in accordance with site procedures. You will maintain a professional, visible presence, help identify potential security‑related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $17.46 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Tue: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Fri: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sat: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sun: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and team members while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct screening of personnel, visitors, packages, and/or vehicles in accordance with site‑specific access control procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorization as directed, and report unauthorized activity or irregularities to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner and document observations according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, including the business location and perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
