Job summary

Allied Universal in Carlisle, PA is seeking a Security Officer Entry Screening Full Time to protect clients and visitors at a busy logistics/distribution site. You will manage access points, verify credentials, and deliver professional customer service to deter security incidents.

The role requires at least one year of security experience, 18+ for unarmed roles (21+ for armed), and a high school diploma. Night shifts Mon–Fri, 10:00 PM–06:00 AM, pay $18.54/hour plus benefits.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by following security procedures and site policies.
• Control facility access by verifying IDs, credentials, and delivery/visitor authorizations per site procedures.
• Monitor entry/exit points and maintain visitor/contractor logs and records.
• Respond to incidents calmly and escalate according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access to the facility by verifying identification, credentials, delivery appointments, and visitor authorization in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points, manage visitor and contractor sign-in processes, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
