Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for Full Time Retail Operations in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. You will provide security services, interact with shoppers and staff, and maintain a visible presence to deter theft and ensure safety in a premier retail location.

Responsibilities include unarmed patrols, responding to incidents, and delivering professional customer service while following site policies and procedures. Prior security or great customer service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is required.
• Be at least 21+ years of age for role.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required under federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a premier retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for shoppers and staff. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.46 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 10:00 AM - 08:30 PM
• Wed: 10:00 AM - 08:30 PM
• Thur: 10:00 AM - 08:30 PM
• Fri: 10:00 AM - 08:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and retail staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exits, stock areas, and perimeter locations, as assigned.
• Observe and report unusual activity, potential hazards, policy violations, and security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner and document activities according to site procedures.
• Help to deter theft, unauthorized access, and disruptive behavior through a visible professional presence and courteous interaction.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is required.
• Be at least 21+ years of age for role.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
