Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in West Palm Beach, FL. You will patrol and safeguard client facilities, maintain a visible presence, and respond to incidents while delivering excellent customer service and clear communication.

The role requires prior security experience or a related degree. Schedule includes evening shifts; a guard card and valid driver’s license may be needed for certain posts. Allied Universal promotes an inclusive, team‑oriented culture.

Qualifications

• At least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or 5 years of security-related experience, or a college degree in criminal justice.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Guard card is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 21+ years of age for role.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at public-sector facilities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor entry procedures, directing individuals to appropriate locations in accordance with site policies.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations accurately through required reports and shift records.
