Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Full Time Retail in Dayton, OH to protect clients across Retail/Malls and more. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and deliver outstanding customer service to shoppers and staff.

We offer weekly pay at $18.50/hour, benefits including medical, dental, 401(k), and life insurance. Minimum requirements include being 18+ (21+ for armed), a high school diploma or equivalent, background check, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to store personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
• Support a welcoming retail environment by assisting with access control and documenting incidents per site requirements.

What You'll Do:

• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate store personnel and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Support a welcoming retail environment by providing directions, assisting with access control procedures, and documenting incidents in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
