Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Front Desk Security Officer in the United States to deliver customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while executing security procedures and emergency responses. The role requires greeting visitors, verifying IDs, issuing credentials, and monitoring access points according to site policies.

You will respond calmly to incidents, deter unauthorized access, and help maintain a welcoming, secure environment.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Subject to background check and drug screening per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a front desk within a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Greet visitors, verify identification and access authorization, issue visitor credentials as directed, and maintain accurate visitor and access-related records.
• Monitor front-desk activity, access points, and available security-related systems; report unusual activity, access concerns, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols and escalation procedures.
• Support a welcoming, professional environment by answering routine questions, directing visitors to appropriate contacts, and helping to deter unauthorized access.

What You'll Do:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
