Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Backgrounds considered with applicable laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements as per state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Job Description

As a Security Officer - Full Time Property Protection in Meridian, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors, tenants, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to concerns while reflecting Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, care, and integrity.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Maintain awareness of activity throughout the location and help deter unauthorized access, theft-related activity, and/or disruptive behavior through a visible professional presence.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
