Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed Patrol Compliance) in Chesapeake, VA. You will monitor and safeguard clients, conduct patrols, and support access control while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology-focused location, following site policies and emergency procedures as needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and access-control concerns with calm, problem-solving approach and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials; report irregular conditions or suspicious activity.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain logs of patrols, incidents, and observations.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Compliance in Chesapeake, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information through established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report irregular conditions or suspicious activity.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, and other security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Guard Card/License is preferred.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
