Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Badge Verification in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support badge and visitor access activities while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor entry points, visitor activity, and restricted areas within a financial institution environment; verify credentials and report unauthorized access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Complete required activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation accurately and in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
