• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel at a technology and medical-device location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions in accordance with site requirements.
• Maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership, client contacts, and emergency responders as needed, while completing accurate daily activity reports.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Entry Screening in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points and alarm activity, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Using computer-based tools to document observations and support site operations, you will work with a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
