Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Guard Card or license (preferred).
• X-ray screening experience (preferred).
• Customer service experience (preferred).
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law and drug screen as applicable.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and families by following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of the educational location to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor credentials as required.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances calmly and in line with site procedures.
• Document observations and patrol activity; relay information to site contacts and leadership.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or families by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the educational location, including building entrances, hallways, common areas, and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and maintain awareness of individuals entering and leaving the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity; communicate relevant information to site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and/or emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Possess a Guard Card or license, preferred.
• Have X-ray screening experience, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
