Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer in Louisville, KY, for full-time unarmed patrol and customer care at a retail location. You will monitor and deter incidents, support access control, and provide professional customer service to clients, shoppers, and visitors.

Pay Rate: $18.57 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Mon: 06:30 AM - 06:00 PM
• Tue: 06:30 AM - 06:00 PM
• Wed: 06:30 AM - 12:00 PM
• Sun: 06:30 AM - 06:00 PM

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, tenants, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail and mall areas, including sales floors, common areas, entrances, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Assist with access control, visitor interactions, and directions while maintaining a professional presence that helps to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
