Job summary

You will serve and safeguard clients across Retail/Malls and more, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents and provide exceptional customer service.

This full-time unarmed role offers pay of $15.45 per hour with a defined evening schedule.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation per federal/state/local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, visitors, and store team members by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the retail areas, entrances, stock areas, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Respond to incidents and customer concerns calmly, following site procedures.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to site contacts or leadership.
• Deterrence of theft and unauthorized access through professional presence and timely reporting.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, visitors, and store team members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail sales floor, entrances, stock areas, parking areas, and property perimeter, with working conditions varying by location.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, potential hazards, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Help to deter theft, unauthorized access, and disruptive behaviour through a professional presence and timely reporting.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
