Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• A background check is required.
• A drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of retail areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report security concerns, hazards, and policy violations.
• Communicate clearly with site management and visitors while documenting incidents.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic retail location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales areas, entrances, receiving areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, reporting security-related concerns, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Communicate clearly with site management, retail personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership while documenting incidents and daily activities.

Minimum Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
