Job summary

Allied Universal in Louisville, KY is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed Patrol) to safeguard clients across Retail/Malls and other environments. You will maintain a visible security presence, support access control, and provide courteous service to visitors while following site procedures.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Loss prevention experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales areas, entrances, receiving areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, reporting security-related concerns, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Communicate clearly with site management, retail personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership while documenting incidents and daily activities.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Loss Prevention in Louisville, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic retail location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, observe for loss prevention concerns, and provide exceptional customer service while communicating professionally with visitors and team members. What You'll Do

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
