Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Licensed Patrol Assurance in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $17.00 - $18.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and guests while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities in a financial institution environment.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including business spaces, entry points, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, employee, and contractor authorization in accordance with established site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain detailed activity logs and incident reports, communicating relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State security-related guard license.
• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
