Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances in a calm, process-driven manner following reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the retail location including sales areas, entrances, parking, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports and communicate with store personnel and responding agencies.

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Compliance in Sterling Heights, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and assist customers and employees with professionalism. Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 06:00 PM - 11:30 PM
• Tue 01:00 PM - 11:30 PM
• Sat 01:00 PM - 11:30 PM
• Sun 01:00 PM - 11:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports while communicating professionally with store personnel, customers, and responding public service agencies.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least six months of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
