Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a full-time Security Officer in Salt Lake City, UT. You will perform routine patrols, deter incidents, and support access control while delivering excellent customer service.

Minimum requirements include being 18+ (21+ for armed roles), a high school diploma or equivalent, and passing background checks and a drug screen as required by law.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required.
• Valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate within an aerospace and defense location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized entry attempts or suspicious activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency services when needed.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to site needs. • Tue: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Wed: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Thur: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Fri: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
