Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer in Salt Lake City, UT to patrol facilities, deter incidents, and maintain a visible security presence. You will support responsive customer service while safeguarding clients across aerospace/defense sites, using professional communication and teamwork.

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at an aerospace and defense location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations, with working conditions varying by site.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as assigned, and report unauthorized activity or access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities.
• Document patrol observations, incidents, and security-related concerns accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
