Job summary

Allied Universal in Wheeling, IL, is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Awareness to safeguard clients across manufacturing and industrial sites. You will monitor and patrol areas, maintain a visible presence, and deliver exceptional customer service while following site procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, shipping and receiving locations, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and document observations, incidents, and patrol activity.
• Communicate professionally with employees, contractors, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related concerns and site conditions.
