Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Access Support in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, assist with access control and badge-related activities, and deliver exceptional customer service. What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of data center areas, office spaces, entry points, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with verifying authorized entry for personnel and visitors in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
