Allied Universal®, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Access Services in Birmingham, AL. You will serve patients, visitors, and staff, conducting routine patrols and supporting badge procedures at a healthcare location.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will provide excellent customer service, monitor access, and report incidents using computer tools while following site protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screening required by law.
• 18+ years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Must be comfortable using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors following security procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents and emergencies per site protocols.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report anomalies to leadership.
• Complete detailed reports and communicate with allied leadership and responders.

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Access Services in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, waiting areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report unusual conditions, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete detailed reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership, healthcare staff, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
