Allied Universal®, North America’s leading security and facility services company, invites you to join our Birmingham, AL team as a Security Officer Patrol Credential Review. This full-time position involves patrolling healthcare facilities, monitoring access, assisting visitors, and responding to incidents with professional service.

The role requires a valid guard card/license (preferred), strong customer service, and comfort with computers or tablets.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a guard card or license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as per laws.
• Criminal history considered per laws.
• Drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing requirements per state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly and professionally per facility protocols.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of healthcare facility areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction and traffic flow.
• Document incidents and communicate information to supervisors and facility personnel.

Pay Rate: $13.24 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Tue 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Wed 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Thur 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Fri 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established facility protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, access control, and traffic flow in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and interactions accurately, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and healthcare facility personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
