Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time Customer Facing) in Austin, TX. This role provides reliable hours with fixed anchor shifts and opportunities to pick extra shifts through the scheduling platform, designed for income stability and potential progression to a full-time schedule.

Responsibilities include assisting employees, visitors, and contractors, patrolling campus grounds, monitoring access points, and responding to incidents with professionalism.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security-related experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a campus while following site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor/contractor authorization per policy.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies with calm, professional conduct per protocols.
• Complete accurate activity reports and shift communications as required.

As a Security Officer Part Time Customer Facing Patrol in Austin, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.28 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology and media campus while carrying out site-specific procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization as directed, and support access-control procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
