Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Warehouse Access Control Patrol in Wilmington, DE. The role offers fixed shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, enabling higher earnings while maintaining a reliable base schedule.

Pay rate is $20.46 per hour, with a schedule that includes overnight hours. The job emphasizes security procedures, patrols, and ensuring safety for employees and visitors at a technology, media, and telecommunications

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify irregular conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access activity and verify visitor, employee, and contractor credentials in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation while communicating professionally with personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.

Job Schedule:

Mon: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
