Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Patrol in Reading, PA to monitor and safeguard clients across Retail/Malls and other sites. You will provide excellent customer service, patrol assigned areas, and communicate professionally with shoppers, employees, and visitors while upholding security procedures.

The role requires at least 6 months of security experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and completion of required background checks and screenings.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and staff at a retail beverage sales location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the sales floor, stock areas, exterior entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures when appropriate.
• Monitor access points and observe customer activity to help deter theft, disturbances, and unauthorized entry.
• Document incidents, observations, and policy violations accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol in Reading, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with shoppers, employees, and visitors while supporting a welcoming environment. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.96 / Hour

• Age Requirement: All candidates must be at least 21 years of age to be considered for employment. This requirement is in place to comply with legal regulations and company policies.
• Security Experience: Candidates must possess a minimum of six months of relevant security experience prior to employment. This experience should be verifiable and relevant to the position for which the candidate is applying.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
