Job summary

Allied Universal in Campbell, CA is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Customer Care to protect clients across Retail/Malls and other sites. You will patrol, deter incidents, assist visitors, and provide exceptional customer service with a people-first approach.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will monitor areas, support access control, document observations, and collaborate with site management to maintain a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience.
• State or local security license preferred.
• Guard card/license preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular patrols of retail common areas, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter as assigned.
• Respond to incidents calmly and escalate as needed.
• Monitor for unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations to deter unauthorized access.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Customer Care in Campbell, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and assist visitors, tenants, and staff with exceptional customer service. You will communicate clearly, respond to routine concerns, and contribute to a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, reliability, and a people-first approach.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail common areas, tenant corridors, parking areas, loading zones, and the property perimeter, as assigned.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Monitor for unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations, helping to deter unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and other security-related concerns.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
