Allied Universal in Malibu, CA is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Deterrence Support. You will patrol retail locations, deter incidents, and provide welcoming customer service to tenants and visitors.

Shifts vary (Daytime and evenings) with a pay rate of $23.50 per hour. A background check and drug screening are required, along with a high school diploma and security experience. This is a full-time on-site position in Malibu, CA.

Qualifications

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Deterrence Support in Malibu, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide welcoming customer service to visitors and tenants. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, exterior perimeters, and other assigned locations.
• Monitor for unusual activity, potential hazards, and policy violations, reporting observations through established site procedures.
• Assist with access control, directions, and general support for retail location operations while helping to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least six months of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
