Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time - Overnights in Huntley, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and committed to integrity.

Pay Rate: $16.35 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout manufacturing, warehouse, production, shipping, receiving, parking, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.


• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor credentials, maintain visitor logs, and report unauthorized access attempts according to site procedures.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.


• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns accurately and promptly in required reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card or License is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
