Allied Universal in Elgin, IL is hiring a Security Officer - Full Time - Overnights to serve at a financial institution and other clients. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and deliver excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the facility to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry, assist with visitor management and badge procedures.
• Prepare incident reports and logs, and communicate observations to supervision and site contacts.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site policies, assisting with visitor management and badge-related procedures as assigned.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation, and communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
