Allied Universal in New York, NY is looking for a Security Officer Full Time NYS Licensed Patrol Evaluator. In this role you will serve at a government healthcare location, perform unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence, and deliver courteous customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.

Qualifications

• New York State Security Guard License is required.

Responsibilities

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $17.87 - $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 03:30 PM - 12:00 AM
• Thur: 03:30 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sat: 03:30 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sun: 03:30 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions requiring attention.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and contacting appropriate personnel when needed.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions, entry procedures, and reporting of suspicious activity or policy violations.
• Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
