Job summary

Sagewood in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Security Officer – EMT with a focus on night shifts to join our resident-centric team. You will patrol the property, escort residents and guests, and act as first responder for emergencies using EMT skills including CPR and First Aid.

The role requires an AZ EMT certificate (preferred), a valid driver license, and ability to communicate clearly in English; fluency in emergency procedures and safety is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• One year of security experience.
• Valid driver license with satisfactory driving record.
• Flu vaccination required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol Sagewood property to ensure safety.
• Escort/assist residents and guests as needed.
• Serve as first responder for medical emergencies using EMT skills (CPR/First Aid).
• Handle minor emergency maintenance as needed.

$22.00 - $25.00/hr. with a $2 an hour shift differential

Schedule:

Sunday - Thursday / Nights 11pm-7:30am with option to pick up additional nights & weekend hours

Joining our Security team, your role will be responsible for ensuring we provide the highest level of safety and security for our residents, guests, and staff. You will do this by monitoring and patrolling our property, escorting/assisting residents and guests as needed, and more! You will be a first responder to all emergency medical situations. Using your EMT skills, you will triage the situation and perform necessary CPR and/or First Aid. In addition to protecting the assets of our community (patrol), you will handle minor emergency maintenance.

Who you are:

• AZ EMT CERTIFICATE Licensed in Arizona – this is preferred not required


• Has the ability to obtain an Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (we can help with the obtaining the card)


• FLU SHOT REQUIRED!!


• Have a High school Diploma or GED

• Have a CPR, BLS, First Aid certification prior to start date.


• Arizona DPS unarmed guard certification (we can assist with this certification).


• Can effectively and calmly communicate orally and in writing in English and make rational decisions in critical situations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Ability to walk inside and outside of the Sagewood campus and stand and/or climb stairs approximately 75% of each shift. Must be able to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds. Must be able to transport residents via wheelchair or other devices for up to 250 pounds. Requires manual coordination to operate telephones, radio, computer, and other business equipment. Normal vision and hearing required. May be exposed to communicable diseases including influenza, HIV and Hepatitis. May be exposed to unpleasant odors, high heat levels, and institutional cleaning chemicals. Compliance with LCE COVID-19 Vaccination Policy is required for this position for all LCS Community employees.
