Job summary

Circle the City is seeking a Security Officer Liaison at the East Valley Medical Respite Center in Mesa, AZ. The role reports to the Security Supervisor and collaborates with Security Agency Officers to provide safety for staff and clients.

This safety-sensitive position requires adherence to POST orders and site policies. Responsibilities include bag checks, patrols, logs maintenance, daily activity documentation, and timely incident reporting.

Qualifications

• 21 years or older.
• 1 year of Security Guard Experience, and healthcare facility experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current Arizona Department of Safety Clearance Card and/or Guard Card.
• Computer skills: MS Office Suite (Word/Excel).

Responsibilities

• Transition from Day to Night shift and/or Night to Day shift.
• Bag check and bag storage.
• Searches of dorms.
• Premise patrols.
• Building closing procedures.
• Patient head counts.
• Maintain vehicle key check-out/in logs.
• Maintain storage logs.
• Maintain the Hot Box log.
• Ensure safety and security of building, staff and clients.
• Complete incident reports for shifts worked.
• Occasional weekend/night/special event coverage.
• Document daily activity on digital logs.
• Read and send emails using Outlook.
• Attend mandatory training and review post orders and site policies.

Job DetailsJob Location: East Valley Medical Respite Center - Mesa, AZ 85205Salary Range: $43,000.00 - $55,000.00Summary of Position:

Under the supervision and oversight of the Security Supervisor, the Security Officer Liaison will follow the site POST Orders for any given site where they are assigned or scheduled. The Security Officer Liaison will provide Security services in collaboration with the Security Officer Supervisor and Security Agency Officers. This is a safety-sensitive position.

Essential Duties:

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Transition from Day to Night shift and or Night to Day shift.
• Bag check and Bag storage.
• Searches of Dorms.
• Premise patrols.
• Building business hours closing procedures.
• Patient Head Counts.
• Maintain the Vehicle Key check out/in logs.
• Maintain the Storage logs.
• Maintain the Hot Box log.
• Maintain the safety and security of the building, staff, and clients.
• Complete and turn in Incident Reports for shifts worked.
• Although shifts for the position will be on a daily, day-time basis, there could be rare occasions where weekend, nighttime, or special event coverage could be required.
• Document daily activity on digital logs.
• Read and send emails using Outlook.
• Attend and complete all mandatory training requirements.
• Review “Post Orders” and Site Policies and Procedures.
• Conflict resolution/ De-escalation.

QualificationsQualifications:

Basic Knowledge and Skills:

• 21 years or older.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Minimum 1 years of Security Guard Experience, and 1 year of healthcare facility experience highly preferred.
• High School Degree or equivalent.
• Computer skills: MS Office Suite, emphasis on MS Word and MS Excel.
• Able to operate effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Requires a current Arizona Department of Safety Clearance Card and/or Guard Card.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• Position requires extended periods of sitting and standing.
• Position requires regular bending and reaching.
• Able to adapt to rapid, unpredictable workflow.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Experience with the underserved population is preferred.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Update on vaccinations.
• Exposure to clinical and respite environments.
