Job summary

Life Care Services at Sagewood in Phoenix is seeking CDL Drivers with a P designation to transport residents to events, appointments, and activities. The role blends heavy customer service with safe, courteous driving and daily interaction with residents.

You will work Mon-Fri (40 hours) with opportunities for extra nights and weekend hours; pay is $21 per hour and the location is 4555 E Mayo Blvd, Phoenix. Required: AZ CDL with P, Level 1 fingerprint clearance, CPR/First Aid/AED.

Qualifications

• High school/GED graduate.
• Valid AZ CDL with a P designation.
• Strong customer service and hospitality skills. Always courteous!
• Arizona Level 1 Clearance Fingerprint Card - current.
• CPR/1st Aid/AED certified.

Responsibilities

• Join transportation team; heavy resident-facing customer service while transporting residents to events, shopping, doctor appointments, etc.
• Assist residents with getting in/out of vehicles and transport them in cars, vans, and passenger buses.

Joining our Transportation team, as a CDL Driver with a P designation your role is heavy customer service with our residents and as you take them to events, shopping, doctor appointment, etc. With a smile, you will interact in-person with residents in independent living and Acacia Health Center. Assist residents with getting in/out vehicles. Transport residents in cars, vans, and passenger buses.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Able to sit in a vehicle for up to six (6) hours per day; must be able to stoop, bend, stretch and squat to load and unload cargo areas. Must have the ability to perform routine preventive maintenance on vehicles according to schedule. Keep vehicles clean. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds for handling luggage and resident groceries.Must be able to transport residents via wheelchair or other devices up to 250 pounds. May be exposed to the elements (rain, snow, cold May be exposed to the elements (rain, cold, heat) for short periods of time. Must have good driving skills in handling vehicles on wet and/or slippery roads.Compliance Vaccination Policy is required for this position for all LCS Community employees.
