Job Description

As a Security Guard Unarmed Patrol Site Protection in Elmont, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a retail mall location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine rounds, respond to concerns, assist visitors and tenants, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTime Wed 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM Thur 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM Fri 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Sun 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and potential hazards, helping to deter unauthorized access, theft, and disruptive conduct.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
