Job summary

As a Security Officer Access Desk in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and support a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM
• Tue: 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM
• Wed: 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM
• Sat: 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM
• Sun: 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees while following site-specific access-control procedures and emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the construction location, business areas, access points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and document incidents, unusual activity, and access-control issues in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
