Allied Universal is looking for a Security Officer (Full Time) at our Sunnyvale lobby location. The role focuses on welcoming visitors, managing access and badges, and maintaining a secure, patient-focused environment.

As part of a healthcare setting, you will monitor entry points, support incident response, and uphold professional standards in communication with staff and guests. A 6-month security background and basic computer skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Six months or more of security-related experience is preferred.
• Proficiency with computers or tablets is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A security license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at the front desk following site procedures and policies.
• Welcome visitors and staff; verify IDs; issue visitor credentials; maintain records.
• Monitor entry activity and security systems from a front-desk post to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond calmly to incidents and emergencies using established procedures.
• Communicate with site personnel and leadership to report concerns and support a secure healthcare environment.

As a Front Desk Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will welcome visitors, manage access control and badge processes, monitor entry activity, and provide professional customer service. Pay Rate: $22.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thur 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service at the front desk by following site-specific procedures, visitor-management protocols, and healthcare location policies.
• Welcome visitors, patients, contractors, and staff; verify identification and access authorization; issue visitor credentials; and maintain accurate entry records.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and available security-related systems from a stationary front-desk post, helping to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents, medical-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership to report concerns and support a professional healthcare environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
