Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Licensed Patrol Services in Sunnyvale, CA. You will provide security services at an industrial site, performing unarmed patrols, monitoring access, and delivering customer service to employees and visitors.

Position Type: Full Time. Pay Rate: $28.05 / Hour. Schedule includes DayTime and Evening shifts, with multiple days per week. Join a team guided by integrity, teamwork, and responsibility.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations calmly.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols in industrial areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor/vendor access per site requirements.
• Document observations and communicate information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout industrial work areas, loading zones, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor/vendor access in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• At this site, there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
