Qualifications

As a Security Officer - Full Time - Hospital in CHICAGO, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $21.30 / Hour starting and increases to $23.30 / Hour after receiving a certification in weapons detection training

Job Schedule:

This is a full-time position. You can expect to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The schedule for this position has not been assigned yet. If you are selected to move forward, your schedule will be determined as you progress through the hiring, onboarding, and training process. Your manager will work with you to assign a schedule based on business needs before your start date.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Assist with visitor management, directions, and access requests while maintaining a professional presence in patient care and public areas.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and promptly communicate incidents, observations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21+ years of age.
• Possess 1+ Years of Security Experience.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
