As a Security Guard - Full Time - Hospital in CHICAGO, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a dynamic healthcare location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, assist with responding to individuals requiring intervention, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.80 / Hour starting and increases to $21.80 / Hour after receiving a certification in weapons detection training

Job Schedule:

This is a full-time position. You can expect to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The schedule for this position has not been assigned yet. If you are selected to move forward, your schedule will be determined as you progress through the hiring, onboarding, and training process. Your manager will work with you to assign a schedule based on business needs before your start date.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established healthcare facility protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as assigned, and report security-related incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately, and communicate with facility staff, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21+ years of age.
• Possess 1+ Years of Security Experience.
• Must meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Preferred ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Preferred comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
